Anyone painted/coated their exhaust black?
I've got an extra Yosh racing system lying around, its a little bit stained but in great shape. I was debating polishing it, but that's a lot of upkeep when it gets tarnished/dirty. I just got some Duplicolor high-temp ceramic paint that I'm debating using on it...just wondering if anyone here has done something similar to their F4i...any pics?

yep i did....i bought the shorty CF from bootleg and had it ceramic coated gloss black...looks INCREDIBLE IMO....don't have any real good pictures...the ceramic is also...it's tough and durable with the heat...actually makes the exhaust a lot cooler too...i can touch it without burning my hand...

How much did you pay for the ceramic coat?
I experimented a little on an unused stainless midpipe. Bought some Duplicolor ceramic ultra-high heat flat black, sanded the pipe with 600 and 1500, painted a couple coats, and baked it. The paint is very tough; I think I can wetsand it to a gloss. Also thinking about just polishing the system, then using a high-heat clear to protect it and keep it low maintenance.

i paid i think $50 for a dual coat....ceramic is naturally not a gloss finish, but they have a ceramic gloss that they applied over it for a sheen...now it's not AS dark as say a mirror black powdercoat, but it's definitely a gloss black....it was $50 not including shipping there...plus it was a shorty, and i didn't have the can done as it was CF....so essentially just the midpipe and cap....it was done at www.powderbarons.com ......you can see pics of their ceramic on their site....i am VERY pleased with the results.....here's a crappy pic...sorry in the process of getting new pics...
oh and just for reference...the cover above is powdercoated gloss black and the exhaust is the ceramic black/clear....
