Default Painted/Chopped exhaust

so i have the two brothers slip-on whcih i am going to be chopping a few inches off of in the next few days here. i'm also debating spraying it flat black (leaving the badging yellow) with the high head 1200 degree paint, and using black heat wrap to wrap the mid-pipe since i think it would look weird with a flat black can and then a shiny mid pipe. anyone ever done anything like this? just tryin to get opinions on the paint/wrap im on the fence as to wether i want to actually go through with it. think it will look alright, or hold up well? oh yea its going on a red/black F4i if that helps any

I've done it. works well. Looks good. Check my gallery thing to see how mine turned out. I masked off a little design thing.

I've been thinking about chopping a couple inches off my scorpion too but i'm not sure how to deal with the rivets. And why didn't you just paint the rest of the pipe instead of using the tape?

im not a big fan of flat black stuff, but it looks decent....if i was doing a race bike, id definetly do the heat wrap on the exhaust its cool.
