600rr moded or gsxr 750
Hmmmm...if it were me.....I'd go with the GSXR 750 between the two. I'm a die hard Honda fan and always will be, but the fact that it's a 750 is the best of both worlds; more power and torque while still very flickable like any 600. Before I bought my 1000RR, I was torn between an 07GSXR 750 and the 07 1000RR. I will also say that I only looked into the GSXR 750 because just that: that it was the only 750 available in supersport, other than the Ducati 749 that was already discontinued.
anyone gonna stick up for the hondas? ive raced a few 750's and beat a few 750's but its also the rider not the bike are you new to bikes do you really plan on using the extra power do you just want one to fit in? its easy to just compare the two side by side but why not go for what you need instead of want? just my cheap .02
I was told today at one of the dealerships that unless your a pro rider you will not be able to tell between the 750 and a 600.
I have only rode the 600. Sure is hard to buy a bike when no one lets your ride them.
Any of you CBR600RR guys or gals ha, ever race against a 2007 R6?

More horsepower is great if you are gonna use it.But on the street ,it isnt that big of deal..
Trust me i have a 300rwhp stang and a 600rwhp stang. The 300rwhp car is a LOT more fun to me to drive.
I have rode the 600rr,a gsxr 750 (moddied with a air filter, pipe and pc dyno tuned-135+rwhp,good friend at work),stock gsxr 600(friend at work)and finally ended with my f4i.
More power doesnt always mean more fun..But thats me.THere are a few things the gixxer has that the hondas dont but to many peaple ,they are little quirks(like a stock shift indicator, flash for headlights, hazzard switch, rear hugger to name a few).
In the end its all in what you want because you are the one riding it..JUst a fyi- both my buddies(above gixxer bikes)had hondas before and say they like them better(the hondas- one had a f4i and the other had 929rr)esp if commuting..

I wouldn't trade my '07 cbr 600rr for a gixxer 750, hands down. Skill on the bike makes all the difference. If you're a straight-line man, then go for the bigger bike... but don't go with a 750. A 750 in the straight line is the gimp child of the drag-strips. Step it up and go 'busa or something. Wanna keep to the corners, the 750 will do well enough, but so will the 600. Let's face it though, in the real world, riding around all day, Honda's just can't be beat. The ones I've been on are more comfortable, and really, the better mid-range power of the 2007 makes daily commuting on the highway super easy without having to drop gears to find power if I need it. I've raced a 2006 r6, 2005 r6, a 2002 gixxer, all that. Top end, I can keep up with any of the other 600's. Down the drag strip, it's all about the launch, but I can hang with em all. If you wanna get squiddly on the streets, personally, I'd prefer you weren't on a Honda.
Just kiddin'.
Get the bike that makes you happier. The "mods" on the 600 you're looking at don't really mean anything. The slip-on may give you a little more power, but the rest is just looks. (And I'll call anybody out that says that looks don't matter) Cosmetic 'mods' are to each their own. The ones I've done, I've done so that it personalizes the bike to be "mine". That being said... I don't know if I'd pay someone else extra because they're put some flashy stuff on it and jacked the price up on me. (especially if it's something I don't want or don't like how it looks in the first place) at $1K more than a non-modified bike, you could basically put all those things on yourself, in any color or brand that you wanted. But hell, out the door I paid MSRP on the thing (the sad truth about wanting to buy it brand new the day it hit the store), that was $9499 before warrantee, taxes, and all that.

i'm not a pro rider and i rode a buddies gixxer 6 right after i got off of my 750...and trust me dude u can tell the difference....from 2-5 hp probably hard to notice a difference...but from a 600 105-110 hp to 750 with 120-130hp like mine had and easy to feel the difference...
What is the mpg everyone is getting 600's and 1000's?
I have heard 40 mpg on 600 if you dont twist the throttle to much and 30 on the 1000 is this correct?
THanks

i would go with the honda. hands down. i have ridden a few bikes in my time of riding. ridin countless gixxxers and hondas and kawi's but the honda to me is a much better bike. reliability and all got 20200 miles never had a problem. the 750 is a decent bike not to knock it but honda just makes a much much better bike
