ok i have a tank bag but it uses magnets. i tried to see if the magnets would go through the plastic on the tank but they dont. after that i took the tank cover off and tried to see if the magnets would go through just the plastic if i put pieces of metal underneith and it worked better but not the best.

So here is my question. i have seen tank bags on straps that go from the front of the tank to the rear where the seat and tank meet, does anyone have one of these? or does anyone have a tank bag for their 08 600rr that works fantastic? i am worried about the straps wearing the plastic on the tank cover. Do you have pictures also?

why isnt it working with the magnets? they seem to work great for my friend, very strong...

 

not sure why i tried to put metal on the inside and the magnets didnt grab very well

 

do those straps scratch the clear on the paint at all?

 

i have the cortech sport tank bag with the strap mount for my 07 600. it looks great and its easy enough to take on and off. one strap goes around the bars and the other connects under the seat. when the bag is off the strap that connects under the seat is just kinda laying there. but its not that big of a deal. if i really felt inclined i could take it off when im not using the bag but im just too lazy. the straps dont cause any damage to the paint and there are great pads under the bag that protect the color of the tank.

all i do is tuck the tank bad flaps under the rear seat and snap the seat on. easy as pie
