Default Yoshimura RS5 vs Jardine

I have heard a jardine on a cbr1000rr and it sounds cool, nice deep throaty sound. Thought it to be a little on the loud side but that was standing next to it in a quiet neighborhood. How does this bolt on compare to a yoshimura rs-5? I can't seem to find anyone with a yoshi on their cbr1000rr to compare.

Okay, I did the search and mostly it was 600 mods. I looked at asap's post but it really doesn't compare the 2. All I know is the Jardine sound great. May be a little on the loud side but its a deep throaty loud not a firecracker loud. Well, I guess I find out. I just called to change my order to the Jardines but it was too late, the yoshi's are on the way.

i have no personal experience with the rs5... what i hear is... the Yoshi is a nice pipe but not on the 1k CBRs, it does not give us the Hp boost that other pipes give us, and its pretty quiet. As far as the Jardine it is cheaper in price, but what i hear the Jardine is a better pipe, especially the dual. i have the RT1 slipon on my 1k and i love it, sounds great i can feel the Hp gain even though i am using a premade map on my commander. So in the end go with the Jardine, better price better pipe and if u get the dual, then its hella sexier too. GL )

I have the rs-5 on my 1000 and even though any of the slip-ons will give you that much power(maybe 3-5 hp at max) I do feel the bike comes up alot easier in 1st and 2nd by just giving gas. Besides the power, i've never heard the Jardine but alot of people say my pipe sounds great, its deep and throaty so good luck with yours, you'll be happy.

A friend of mine has the Yosh pipe on his 06 1000RR. It is louder and deeper sounding than stock, but quieter than most aftermarkets. I have a Scorpion pipe and it is slightly louder than my friends Yosh. The Jardine would be louder than either of our pipes.

They all make the deep sound we all crave; the question is how loud do you like your pipes?

Well when I heard the jardines I thought it to be a little to loud. But that was standing next to it with no other noises around. I figure sittin in traffic, people with their windows rolled up and their radios blasting away this is another thing that will make me stand out and let people know hey there is a motorcycle around. But late at night riding through some neighborhood it may be a little too loud and give us a bad rep so I guess I will stick with the yoshi's for now.

Is the install pretty simple or do I have to take it to a professional? And how long will it take for a relatively novice mech skilled warrior to install this?

Install is a breeze (slip on). If you buy new, they give you step by step
