There is a term for anything that shines light back in the direction it came. If a car's headlights hit many reflective material it only works dead on, but this other reflective tape will reflect back at any angle.

Where can I get that since I no longer have reflectors on the bike? And what is that reflective property called?

Retroreflective

SOLAS (Safety of live at sea) Tape is one type of tape that's a bit expensive, but very good. Sometimes you can find it on ebay, but if I were you I'd try a local sailing store.

I've also found good quality tape at Princess Auto... they have a mail order catalog as well.

Look around - it's out there. I just taped outa design on my helmet with some pinstripping styled reflective tape...

 

They make a tape called scotchbright (spl?) Its the same sort of stuff used to make signs or pinstripes for cars. Doesn't come in all colors, but most. Call around to people who cut grafics in your area and ask if they carry it. I get mine from a local shop called Lenda Products. I used it on a sign I made for my shop..... works pretty good, just like a reflector. It is angle sensative tho, I think just about all of em will be to some degree.
