i know im going to get flamed,i like all types of speed , i push everything i ride to the limit. so anyway, i went to the dragstrip on my 2008 cbr 1000 the only mod i have is i have unhooked the exhuast flapper and put a jardine slipon on it. so i revved to 8 grand and popped the clutch and it would bog for i like to feet and then its a rocket. i ran 7.5 sec in an 1/8 mile. a zx10 was running 6.5sec. i was wondering if its the jardine, i want my bike to be the fastest on the dragstrip, racing on the 4 lane or through the mountains. i also thought it might be the slipper clutch causeing the low end crap. i am thinking of buying a pc111 and ignition and air filter but i need someones maps i cant afford tuning to. my buddy said sell the pipe and try another one. i know i can go a tooth down but what if i wanna run 190.

 

hmm.. first i'd learn how to ride it, work on using the clutch to get better launches and good weight distribution(riding position/legs etc)

 

yeah, work that clutch better, the bike can pull a better 1/8 time than that.

 

i had a cbr 900 1998 model and i ran 7.5 sec in the 1/8 i know how to ride. i popped the clutch on the 900 but i think i have slip the clutch on the 08 and that slows u down. i might go one down in the front

 

if you can't afford to even tune your bike you can't afford being the fastest on the drag strip like you want.
