Default pcIII vs slip on

I've been working on my 05 1000 and put in new spark plugs, oil change and a K and N air filter. I am eventually going to change the sprockets and get a speedo healer, but first I was wondering which would give me the most bang for my buck. either a new slip on so that the K and N can breath better, or a power commander so I can try and get more low end power. The only thing about a slip on is I hate how loud it gets. I have big ears and I catch all of the sound in my helmet, it becomes so annoying that i had to wear ear plugs. I like the sound level of the stock, I just wish it were lighter, and let more exhaust out. So guys, tell me what you think, can, or pcIII?

A slip on will barely gain you any performance at all, you would need a full system to even notice it. So for the best performance out of the 2 choices get the pc3, but get a dyno tune for it as well to get the maximum gains.

PCIII needs a custom map for sure. TK speaks the truth.

the reason you stock can is so qiet is the baffle sevo.....also thats where alot of power goes.....scrap that POS as qucikly as possible and also look into opening up the intake port.....all kinds of baffles and restrictors and vacuum doors....

but now you would start to get into some serious mods....you need to learn what you can pull off and cap off with out affecting how the engine operates....other than freeing up its breathing
