Lowering question

RE: Lowering question
*If* you lower the bike be sure to lower front and back. Take it to a shop that does suspension work and let them set it up. That is way too nice of a bike to just screw up the handling by lowering the front alone (should lower it at all really but that's your choice).

RE: Lowering question
Yeah, I did lower the back already 1 1/2, but there is a clip that holds the triple clamp and handle bars up, just not sure if i could move that clip and slide clamp down. Just wanted to know if anyone did theres yet, and how they got it done whether professionally or on their own.

dropped 3 inches of the back of mine and love it no need to do the front if you do you wont make it in parking lots lol
The retainer clip on the fork tube can be removed. They arethere to align the forks quicker in manufacturing, plus it makes sure the forks are even and easily put back into the stock location. You can remove the retainer ring and slide the fork up through the triple clamp.
Be careful though. The forks on my bike, and Im pretty sure on yours too, have a necked down fork tube. Meaning the dia of the fork tube where the clip-ons mount are a bigger dia than that of the mid fork. You only have about 3/8 of an inch to work with before it necks down in dia.
You could probably make a spacer to make up the difference, but the fork tube in that area is thinner and more than likely weaker, so probably not a good idea.
