Default installing flushmounts

Anyone have any tips for the instalation of flushmounts? It might sound stupid but, Is it possible to mount flushmounts without removing the fairing on a CBR 1000? If not what needs to be removed in order to get to the stock turn signal bolt-nut?

Now that is a spectacular answer!

Thanks ODEN

How about one to drop the motor to fix a waterline issue - I'M KIDDING, knock on wood or whatever!

Very nice ODENSAN!

I am just about to replace the stock indicators on the Blade with aftermarket LED "arrow" indicators to my bike.

I did this on my last Suzuki and to over come the "fast flashing" issue with LED units I went out and bought 4, 10Watt, 10 OHm resistors and placed these in parallel with the indicators.

This slows the flash rate down and does away with the need to replace relays etc.

The only other issue is getting new stock connectors to attach to the LED units so they connect straight on - these are as rare as rocking horse s**t so looks like I'm going to have to cut the connectors off the stock indicators and splice and solder them onto the LED units.
If I can find my old photos of the procedure and if I can work out how to post pics I will.

Just my 2p worth if you want to go back to standard flashing rates without too much hassle.

Roger

EDIT: Pic now attached
