I just purchased a 1000RR what do i do?
I just purchased a 2004 1000RR it has a 520 conversion, acrophobic full system, Powercomander PCIII, Intergraded rear lights with undertail elemenator, Aftermarket front turnsignals, Custom red pinstripe for some extra color, Dunlop Quilifiers, and Swingarm license plate braket. Im looking to get a BMC airfilter. Im putting a scorpio alarm on it monday. What is the best no cut frame sliders for this bike? What is the poor mans intake? Is there anything else i should do to this bike? Thanks!

ok firstly its Akrapovic ... not phobic ! LoL
no cut frame sliders ? check out MotoVation ... they're kinda expensive though
poor man intake ? do a search on www.1000rr.net
anything else / how about some riding gear ... leathers, boots, gloves ? or how about Galfer SS brake lines for starters ? beware of the Mod bug though ... once it bites ya then it won't ever let go ... i'm speaking from experience
p.s. before ya buy anything give SuperBikeSupply a call @ 828-252-2280 ... ya won't be disappointed

search around for the trama brought on by the no cuts
for this bike they are a bad idea. the slider will sit right beside the water neck on the left side and if it goes over the bracket will bend crushing the water neck. this means that you have to drop the engine to fix it.
you should look into upgrading your suspension first and foremost. the 1000rr is sprung very soft and pretty much anyone over 150 lbs will max out the preload before the sag is set correctly especially on the 04-05 forks.
in my case i went ohlins front and back and it was the best mod i did for the bike. i could have left everything else bone stock except for the suspension and would not have known the difference
