If you have one please advise, i just instaled mine and love the sound but the red light on the gauge cluster is blinking, why and how do i fix it?
And what are your thoughts about the power commander , do i need one? I am not looking for more power just the look & sound.

Have you had any problems with the heat shield tape? & how did you get the light to stop blinking?

I have one on my 05 1000 RR and I can't ever remember the red light coming on in my cluster. I also had the Power Commander installed at the same time so it could be a fuel/air mixture issue. As far as the off throttle poppin, most aftermarket exhaust do it, some even more than others. Don't know how to tell you to fix that completely....A good custom map will definitely help. I have a 2 Bros full system map and it has a perfect fuel/air ratio.
Do add extra heat shielding. Get if from your local shop. There are some places right behind the seat where the tailsection begins that may not be protected by the pipe. Other than that, keep an eye on the undertail plastic, in the summertime, it may warp into a U-shape instead of being flat at the taillight. So make sure to coat the entire undertail plastic with heat shield. (trial & error)

You can't remove the entire exhaust valve actuator assembly (the box behind the battery on '06s. Just remove the cables from the pulley and leave the assembly plugged in. And yes removing it will throw an FI code on the MIL.
