Default Hid conversion kit question?

i heard from fellow members that ddm tuning makes a good hid kit, i checked them out and found a kit that i like for my 08 1krr just want to make sure that it is what i need never looked into hid's before, so its a DDM HID CONVERSION KIT 55W H7 8000K COLOR, seems correct from what i read but if any of you know for sure give me the go or no go please and thank you.

yes, you have the correct information. However, 8,000k is going to be rediculously blue. I don't know if you've ever seen it in person, but its horrible. It looks cool to look at the bike, but the light output is very hard to see objects at night. It turns everything blue, so things of different color become blue. It almost gives everything a 2D appearance.

Honestly, if your wanting better lighting, stick with the 4300-5000k lights. I guess worst case though, you don't like the 8000k, you can always just buy lower K bulbs.

Also, just be ready for your lights to take a few seconds to come up to full brightness. If your converting your high beam as well, it can be quite annoying. Most kits I've seen take around 5 seconds to get to their full brightness.

with HIDs the lower the "K" the brighter they are. you will want to stay within 4500-6k for driveability. Anything higher is more for show. If you want that blue in the lights go with 6k. I have installed DDM 55W 4500k and 6k kits. 4500 and 5k are a pure/crisp white and 6k will have a hint of blue. both color temps look very sharp. 3k is just as bright as 4500k but is yellow in color used mostly for fog lights.

I had some 6k lights for my old car and they seemed a little to blue some nights... I would go with 4.5-5k if I had to again

I have some 35w 8k in my car and they are very bright and bluish white... Things become very difficult to see in the rain
