RE: HESD question
no problems yet but check out LDH's site
www.rogueracing.org about the steering dampners
the general opinion is that once you get to be real fast it is a hinderance
because it makes you have to fight the bars at higher speeds

RE: HESD question
I have had a problem!
When I crashed in Dec 06, it was a combination of road / rider / bike.
I was exiting the freeway and was slowing to stop at the red light. Then the light turned green and my lane was clear.
So I keep riding through the light at about 45, then when going through the intersection there was some bumps in the road
which made my front end come off of the ground. When the wheel came back down it just started to "Tank Slap"
I was in the wrong gear (I was in 4th still) so the HESD was not working the way it is designed too!
By the steering dampner not working properly this caused me to fish tail and lose control.
The HESD is designed to work with you Throttle position (acceleration) & RPM's
faster speed & more torque = stiffer steering!
So if you stay in a higher gear you will be better off.
This has caused me to order a "All Time" steering dampner w/ manual adjustment
