Here in Phoenix it gets really hot so protect the bike from itself i used so thermo tec cool it works really good and stays put,water proof.I also put it behind my C/F heat shield

I got an 06' 1krr and have had a slip on yoshi rs5 with no heat sheild, then upgraded to a full Micron system and still have no heat sheild, all in all I have just hit 20,000klm on the clock and it has never had any problems. Also alot of those k's, I have had the missus on the back, and she has never complain of the seat getting hot!

I got them from MRGRN he is one 1000rr.net I think his website is markscarbonparts.com or something like that,Just go to 1000rr.net and search you'll find him and see all his work,It is really good stuff and a good guy to work with

When I installed my FE I just took my dremel and cut away as much as the heat sheild as I could see while it was still on the bike, Just be carefull!! Don't have a can yet but it still looks good even w/stock exaust. You cant see the heat shield at all but it's still there.
