i have, but i have a titanium exhaust. i wouldnt recommend it if you're keeping the stock exhaust. it will get too hot.

I have, but I have a full yosh. I wouldn't see the point in doing it to the stock exhaust.

No actually I have the 2brothers pipe and I added the integrated taillights and move my license plate under the undertail more. I was just look at the heatshield and was thinking...Its got to come off. I will take it off to see if there is much of a differences.

I have a Jardine slip-on and I dont have my heat shield on either. So far put over 17,000 miles on it and no damage to my bike with out. Better off without it

I have a c/f Factory Leo Vince. No heat shield, no problems. I wouldn't run w/o in using OEM. That b!tCh is HOT!.

Bin it, you'll be glad you did it.

Cheers

i have a full Hamaguchi Ti system but i retained the heatshielf after i trimmed it so that it stays hidden under the tail ... reason its still there is just in case i need to carry a passenger but then thats impossible since i took off the rear pegs and put in a solo cowl

I remember I just picked up the bike and i took it to my parents house and started to remove the heat shields. It got kind of involved and my dad came out with this confused look.He says what are you doing to the bike its brand new.Pieces of the heat shield being tossed around it was funny but they had to go.The only problem i have was a little smoking of the rear brake light lens.I guess you could leave that little metal cowl on to prevent that.Depends on you
