Default Flapper mod...

Hi, I just joined this site and was wondering what is a flapper mod? Also how do you folks modify the air box and is there any documentation of improvements? Thanks for your help!

You will want to do the exhaust flapper as well or I don't see the point. You gain mid range HP but not overall HP. I think the screw thing is stupid as it does not take much more effort to remove the pastic and simply unplug the solenoid and zip tie that. I removed everything and caped off the nipple on the engine block.

Enlarging is removing the deviders and fiberglassing the holes from the small flappers you see on the sides. I supoose you could try speed tape isntead of fiberglass. I opted to keep the deviders for the side chambers with the small flappers and I glued the small flapper doors to cover the holes and opened the front. Don't worry about this untill you have upgraded the filters, exhaust and have a PCIII to tune.

I have not yet seen a dyno where ONLY the flapper mod was done and there was a HP gain.

Because it doesn't exist.
