I did it. Seems to make at least a little bit of a difference. Roll-on wheelies seem to be easier.

Well, what exactly is the purpose of this "flapper"? Honda deemed it necessary to put it on the air box so what does it do?

 

Just another gizmo to limit emissions, if I remember correct. Real simple mod to do and it doesn't cost you anything. Supposedly it gains almost 3 extra ponies

 

I didn't want to take something off that was for an intended purpose that could possibly hurt the bike down the road. I'd rather know about what I'm modifying before disabling something that was there for a reason. Does the flap cause the stumble and sudden accel around 3k rpm? If so I'm disabling it now.
