I disconnected that grey hose from that silver/gold thing, then plugged the hose. I didnt hear or feel any real diff. I even set the bike next to my buddies and listed before and after to compare. Did i do it right or did i disconnect my horn?

It won't sound any different. What you will notice is the smoothness of your take offs in first. The engine won't feel as labored as it does with the flapper activated.

If you did it right..u will hear a throaty sound coming from ur airbox like a ram air effect if you jerk ur throttle from 3.5k rpm onwards..

Check out speedy's site, http://hooliganbiketech.dynup.net. He has detailed info about the flapper mod. You have to remove the left side mid-fairing in order to get to the hose easily but it is REAL simple to do. There is like a goldish colored canister that the hose hooks to, just disconnect it and plug the hole with a screw, or something similar

Just did the mod today. There is a deffinate difference in the sound. Cant say too much about the performace aspect because my bike is still being a stubborn [sm=forgetit.gif] well you get the picture. Only took about 3 mins. Like the sound and hopefully can see if there is anything on the performace side to talk about later.

u can maximise the performance of the flapper mod with a PC III..u've gained more air intake so u'll have to adjust ur air/ fuel ratio..

That's it! As posted elsewhere a PC and dyno map will make the effect even more pronounced.
