Default Factory Taillight Removal

Can anyone help me out w/ removing my factory taillight. I'm trying to install an UFO LED board, but i can't find any instructions online or in the manual to take off the factory taillight.

Also, if anyone has installed the UFO LED board before, and has any advice on what to do, and what to watch out for, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I swaped out my tailight, not with a UFO, but with a Clear Alternative LED piece. Not so difficult. Check out some pics here.

Line up the colored wires and such. Also, visit this link for some help.

Good luck and post some pics when you're done!

Yeah I have the same thing as above but with a yosh rs-5 w/o the cone look. Clear Alternative makes some great tailights.

I have a custom led board, you have to take off the rear tail plastic and there is two screws holding it to the plastic and then two nuts holding that bracket to the light and thats it.Do you have to cut it open,I had to cut mine its not too difficult, even if you cut to wide that black cover will hide it.Clear Alternatives is good but I like the factory looking taillight and Custom Led is very bright..Good Luck
