With the exception for drag racing, lowering a bike is not good at all. The big 4 all set the heights for there bikes to perform the best it can. Maybe you need to get a bike that fits you.

 

dude im 5'5" and i can barely touch the ground on a 600. I tip toe it bad. Im lowering my 1kRR just alittle when i get it.

 

If you are worried about your ergos you should get a suzuki. (please no one slaughter me for that) Rider comfort is #1 beyond anything else on a motorcycle. Why else do you see moto gp guys kick *** on one manufacture then switch and not do as well or vice versa. Its not really the bike taking off on the rider its the rider handling that bike better. If this wasnt true then every year the best manufacture would go 123 get my point. Anyway as i was saying the gsxr is very low to the ground, and wether you are small or large im 6 foot myself, you cant beat that bike for comfort. However i have both 1k's and the honda out performs the gsxr for sure. maybe the 09's will change that but just giving sum input.

You know I defend other bikes all the time. What I was saying is that I won't give people a hard time for liking other bikes. I *point out* incorrect behavior when it includes bias against other bikes simply because they aren't Honda's.
