Default EBAY FAIRING SET?? GO or NO?

Hey has anyone ever bought a whole fairing set from Ebay? These guys are from Hong Kong so I am not sure wether to trust them or not. I know they are a lot cheaper.

Any feed back would help. Thanks in advance!

OK thanks for the reply I'll check it out more and decide. The reason is my friend's dad dropped my bike and messed up the upper fairing ( cracked on both sides ) , Left middle fairing ( just a little road rash ) , Right fairing which I dropped a couple months ago, back cowl ( road rash also ) , and the frame slider was bent in doesnt look like anything got pinched it was dropped on its left side... So his dad gave me 1000$ check for the repairs. Just tryin to the get the most bang for my buck. THANKS AGAIN!

yes auctsmart
the biggest complaint about them is that the lowers melt by the headers.
although, once you use header wrap on the headers and cool it tape on the lowers the problem goes away. also for those that do get melted lowers the company has been pretty good about replacing them for nothing.

supposedly good fitting, and looks great. most of the plastic rivits are replaced with 5mm allen heads

They had a blue & black paint scheme last week that looked cool a hell.Mine's not macked &not knowing anything about them either. I couldn't go with it just for a color change. Only thing I do know is there will be bids over yours. I only took it to $200 below the buy it now price. But this was the caseevery time. I was second to last bid onmost of these too. So it's safe to say you'll half to be pretty close to the buy it now price to get a set.Shipping is $225.00 but you already knew that.
Letme know how it goes.

Good Thread. Last week, my wife dropped my 05 CBR1000. I've got the titanium paint scheme and would like to keep it. I only need left side fairings, but have been quoted up to $800. The ebay fairings seem to run around $250 for the complete set. Are they the only game in town? Any one know of another place that sells reasonably priced fairing parts?

The biggest complaint I've heard from them is the fitment between the tank cover and intake tube covers on the 05-06 600RR's. I was going to pick up a set, but everytime the auction was near it's end, it always went up to near "Buy it now" price. I've also heard on some forums that they have a few different accounts to push up the price of their auctions. Then, with the 2 kits I was bidding on, and both of them going up at the same time, by the same bidder, 3 weeks apart, I decided they could go f**k themselves.

Sorry the link is invalid, what is the brand that is iknown to melt, and which is the one that stands the test of time?

Also, where can I get the header tape and the other tape you mentioned? Worth doing anything to the side fairings as well or jst the lower piece? Thanks
