Default Disconnct servo motor

The install instructions say to disconnect the cable to the servo motor before I install the Yoshimura RS5 slip on. What does this motor do and what would happen if the cable was not disconnected? Can the stock muffler be used with the cable disconnected?

The servo motor operates a butterfly valve in the exhaust. You're deleting that part of the exhaust. So - you need to take the cables out and leave the servo motor wiring connected so the ECU still thinks it's there. You can also buy a "servo buddy" which allows you to delete the servo motor all together (it's what I've done).

I removed the entire assembly when I put my Two Bros pipe on.
