I was thinking of getting chrome rims for my 1k. Some of them are pretty expensive are they worth it? What rims do you guys have? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

they look awsome on any bike, but there is one downside to them. It's a real bitch to clean and keep them clean. If you love to have chromed rimes on your bike get them. I would if I had the money. It is well worth it. Nothing beats that 'bling' factor. keep it simple. As they say less is more. if money is tight you can get your rims chromed plated. i think that would cost around 700-1000 bucks. It all depends on amount of coats and the lustre of the finished product. brand new chome rims can fetch aroung 2500- 3200 bucks, depending on design. Or if money is not an importance you can get race ionised rims. a brand that comes to mind is Carrozzeria Vstar forged wheels. Made from wrought aluminium. Comes is a wide variety of colors and designs.
Very light mainly for racing. the front weight 7.8lbs and rear 13.4lbs. Top of the range rims

 

What ever floats your boat brother, Me personally like racing wheels..."I Like going fast". I don't mind chrome on bikes, they looks very nice, but it's just not for me.

Dude whats up with the Buick Lasabre side vents?

 

exchange program is from 500-700/800 depending.. i did it from http://www.chromeprosplating.com/ and i didn't have any problems.. you pay for rims and a deposit.. they send you the rims.. you exchange them with your stock and send your stock back and when they recieve them they give you your deposit back.. takes about 1-2 weeks for WHOLE process depending on where you live.. i do believe the price is up from when i did it back in 2005.. basically you are getting someone else's stock rims that are now chromed

 

Are those stock rims chromed? they look nice.
