Default BMC Filter on '08 1kRR

So I am thinking about getting a BMC race filter for my 08 1000rr, but I wanted to see who all has it in their 08 and if it is worth it. Secondly what kind of adjustments did you make to your Fuel Map. Any input would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure I am going to get the BMC filter... I just got my ignition retard controller today and am putting it in on saturday. I think with that and my exhaust and pcIII a BMC is well called for.

I don't think its worth the $$ for an aftermarket air filter. I doubt you will see impressive gains even with PC3 tuning over our stock filters.

i'll have to agree with Tbagr because i also have a BMC with a PCIII and a Zbomb and that bitch moves!!!

i have with a few adjustments on my maps only through dyno tuned because yur humidity and other external factors are way different than mines here in trini it might not be suited for u. because i got a map tuned from FUELMOTO usa and wen i dyno tuned here i squeezed an extra 5hp.

but if the BMC is a plus....HELLLLLL YEA!!! trust me my bike has moved from 153hp stock to a 168.9hp modded.

i have no competitions against 1000's i only race zx14's and busa's.

.
Those are some impressive gains. Was the BMC before or after?

I would like to see a dyno chart of a BMC before and after, to see if it increases HP significantly.

not sure this applies to the 08 as it talks about having to modify your bike to get the BMC to fit. i did not have to do this when i installed mine so i have to question the validity.

That dyno was tested on a RC51. According to them, they are saying that the BMC is too efficient for sport bikes so you would actually lose top end performance.

I have been trying to find dyno charts before and after BMC filters for our bikes but no luck. If you guys have some please share! =P

i have never really heard of something that is "too good" that it doesnt work.

that seems like saying: my bike is sooo fast that it is slow.
