2006 HID install with pics
Well nobody has posted any pics of an HID install for a 2006 so i figured i would share.
Right side: Mount the balast under the right headlight. Be sure to get it between the 2 push clips holding the black plastic on the upper fairing. You will have to notch the mount slightly to get everything to button back up without any fitment issues.

Left side looked like this the first time around. Notice the red and yellow fuses poking out to the side of the balast. Those were the problem first time around whilew trying to button the fairing back up.

To fix the fuse problem, all you have to do is slice the electical tape away to free the fuse wires and point them up into the empty space (the way they should have been from the factory IMO) then zip strip them into place. To mount the balast in this position, you will have to cut a small peice of plastic from behind the wire cluster (its black and does nothing).

Now all you have to do is tuck the wire into the spaces you have under the cluster (after zip stripping for a clean and organized look). Button her up and you have a factory looking bike with the beautiful and bright HID lighting system.

Enjoy!
