I've had my 04 1000rr for a few weeks, and there is one crack in the rear fairing under the seat that bothers me...so i'm wanting to replace it. Would the tail section from an 06-07 model fit right up, or is my best bet to find an 04-05 again? Thanks

 

i couldnt help you here sorry mate but i have been told that the 04/05 body work dosent fit on a 06/07 but i dont know that if the trear tail section would fit or not

 

The subframe on the 06-07 was changed a bit so I'm not so sure it will work. I would probably stay with an 04-05 tail.

 

It WILL fit. Well, according to OPP racing anyway. You can buy just the tail and it is the same part number for 2004-2007 LINK
