Default Remove spark plugs... a sick joke?

Holy crap...

I decided to winterize my bike. Oil change - check. Now to shoot some oil into the cylinders... so I got the fairings off and dropped the radiator as per the instructions in the user manual. Now what I'm looking at is an insanely small space to get the spark plug wrench into. Well... to be honest I didn't even try that hard to get the ignition coils off because I couldn't get a good grip on them (and I don't have large hands).

Is this really the easiest way to get at the plugs without removing a bunch more plastic and the gas tank?

easiest is by removing the tank and air box...really doesn't take that long...but the shortest way is via radiator area...just take your time mang.

+1........No doubt, when I first tried pulling my plugs I had a hell of a time. If you pull the gas tank up, it allows enough wiggle in the airbox to be able to push up and pull the coils out. Good luck!

I removed mine via radiator....and went to sears to make a perfect fit with extensions and stubby ratchet....both a must.....I used a piece of fuel tubbing hooked on to the end of the spark plug to drop the plug back in and seat itWITH OUTCROSSTHREAD!!! after the plug starts to screw in just pull tubing off and drop socket with extension....then attatch stubby....I got all plugs out from the right side (throttleside) The far left plug wouldnt come out the left side GO FIGURE...but I had to loosen it from the left and remove from right...now that everyone is confused...just take you time....and be sure not to damage your radiator....move it forward like the manuel says.....Good Luck
