Default Ghetto modding your F3 Tail, PIX!!

Alrighty, so im a rather poor kid and i decided i liked all those cool kids on the forums with the fender eliminator kits and well, i wanted my bike to look super sexy on the back end, without spending any cash.

After i converted my tail to the 97/98, i did a bit of cutting and removing of my own.
I took off everything i could, and it turned out better than i thought.

First I removed the turn signals, and stripped the wires.

I wasn't planning on keeping the signals, but i wanted to encorporate them into the taillight if i could.

so i bent and easily broke off the aluminum edges except for one part.

Then i wired it up

And mounted it alongside the taillight.

Repeat to the otherside

Made sure it was working

haha it's a pretty common way of hiding things
take a red bull can, cut the top off and the bottom, and then i think i cut off an additional cm or so to make it fit the way it did, and wrap it snug.
then tighten.

i can take some pix of how i did it if you need step by step.

Heh I did nearly the exact same thing on my bike when I got it. I finally decided to pony up the cash and literally 2 days ago my clear alternatives rear integrated tail light came in and installed it. I'll say this; the stock lights are way more visible versus LEDs, even with the setup you've got now and like I had, but I like having yellow flashers and I like the aesthetics of the clear alternative light better.

Looks good man! Really cleans up the tail well, imo.

Edit: You need to get yourself a 97/98 seat man! All those gaps with the F2/early F3 seat!!
