I want to fit a new tank pad but I cant remember what I have used before to remove the old one, I mean the pads that protect rear of tank from jacket zip marks (or for me, from my fat gut)

Anyone know, please

Baz
I would use a little bit of heat from a hair dryer and then peel it off.
To remove the sticker residue, I normally ise WD-40, but you can use lighter fluid (naptha) or even kero.

Or a small amount of degreaser with a clean rag has worked in a pinch for me before. Petrol works nice to. Any petroleum based product will rip it off. WD40 does get it off but takes a lot of rubbing imo.

Hey, sorry for introducing myself then vacating. I'm glad that my 23 year old Hurricane runs better and faster then this 'puter. I've been too busy riding to even take pics of the beast, but I'll see about getting that taken care of.

Welcome Bugs, Glad to see you have joined us in the Saloon....

There should be a Saloon Rule....He who mentions "WD-40" buys a round....

Thanks guys. I found out the best way to get rid of numb fingers (bar buzz) and lower back pain, is to relax, lean forward, and twist on that right grip. I'm finding many merits for this old bike.
