1998 f3 vs. 2003 rr
i know for a fact that my 98 f3 runs like a bitch, but i also know that ive ridden a friends 06 RR and its worlds faster than mine. i cant see how its possible for this to be true unless you are racing some talentless hack who should be on a vespa not a race bike. the difference ive experienced first hand leads me to know for a fact that a 600rr will destroy a f3. im siding with Juliet

thank you for siding with me but the others all do have a point .. a well set up 97/98 F3, that is running as it left the factory as mine does, is a good fast bike and worlds away from my old F2s, BUT
as I said the later 2007 onwards RR is a world apart again from these bikes ... however, stick a complete numpty on my RR who doesn't know how and when to change gear or doesn't understand the basics of counter steering and I will destroy him/her with my F3 ..so yes, all things being equal the new RR is a whole new ball game but like anything whether it be a car or a bike, a crap driver/rider in/on one and the stig in/on the other and that is the real difference ..lol

Just soo everyone knows we started from a 65mph roll. And i am still not convinced, i said that it was a 2003 not a 2007, and i still believe that my 98 will beat the 2003's along with anyone else that has tried this. Yes i believe that the 2007 will blow my fairings off, no doubt about that, i would still try though.
You may well be right, especially in a roll on from that speed, my own F3 is very fast and has excellent top gear acceleration ... it always amazed me how well it pulled in top, then I did read the early 2003/4 RRs had low and mid range weakness, so if they were out of the power zone then quite possibly you can walk away from one ... I would still imagine equal riders through the gears would be different but then it's only mere seconds isn't it ... all I can tell you for certain is my own new RR is incredible after my F3 and kills it on acceleration everywhere ... even just snapping my throttle open at 5-6,000 rpm in top has the RR surging forward much harder than my F3 could ever manage :-)
