New ebc clutch installed after 3days slips? Wtf? Help plz
Before you install them I think you should put in proper motorcycle oil and try it out.
That way you know if it was the oil or the plates causing the problem.
But I'll bet you $50 imaginary dollars that it's the oil if you are using automotive oil.

lol dude i just drained the oil it there was about a quart too much too. plus i wouldnt even wage 10 imaginary dollars on the oil cause ur prolly right on top of it being over filled, i recently got bought this bike from a true polock str8 off the boat(im polish so i can say that) in chicago soo chances are he put same **** oil in there. oddly enough i just went to autozone and they looked at me funny when i asked for amsoil motorcyle oil... they dont carry it. so i just got valvoline 10w40 "motorcycle" oil with superior wet clutch protection. im kinda pist cause i already got the plates and also same caliper as my old burnt up ones. plus i cant even test right now cause my guy is bondoing out my tank dents and repainting my fuel tank this week not gonna have back till sunday!!! i figured that would be enough time to get **** going cause im still waiting for my gasket to arive...stupid stores around here dont carry them so i had also to order online. i will however once i get my tank back try with new oil and old plates to test this theory.
btw u must be right about the car oil thing cause now that i think more about it...i put a quart of the automobile 10w40 penzoil from ACE hardware in there not knowing it needed specificaly motocycle oil...and guess what. after that point it started to slip.
intresting note--i had some time yesterday and i assembled the clutch with the new steel and friction plates, after soakin over night in oil, after installing i put 3 quarts of fresh motorcycle oil in there but i cannot start yet cause my fuel tank is being painted...but i want to some test out so i put it in first, and pushed my bike to see if the clutch would grab, but while in first when i pushed it, it was like it was in neutral with a tiny bit of resistance. i would have thought that the back tire would have locked and dragged? any reasoning for this? ill have my tank back tomorrow so ill know for sure.
