Question Clicking sound in my chain????

I got home from a roadtrip in my bike (04 600RR , 19k miles) bout 600 miles well when i get home my chain is making some kind of "click" noise in 1st gear, so i asked around and they told me it was because my chain is to tight so i loosen it up, so i think i did. Well after i fix it the noise was gone for like 4 days and today i got it "click" noise back so i starting working on it, i been loosing and tightening the damm chain all day trying to make that noise go away and its still there.... ANy suggestions or comments? i'm considering just upgrading to a 520 conversion Kit, any Good brands? THANKS for ya'lls help

If the chain was too tight and you rode 600miles on it then it might be toast. The quick stretch causes the rollers not to hit dead center between the teeth and makes a click as each roller binds and pops out.
