May I recommend this jacket for you. This was my first jacket and I absolutely love it. It allows a ton of air for those hot days, it also has removable lining just in case. And even on a cold day does the job of keeping you warm. And has a ton of damn pockets. It also has CE protection, I have went down in this jacket going 40 and it most def did the job of protecting me. And if you want extra padding get a vest underneath it. Just make sure before you buy a jacket go to the store and just start trying on everything you can get your hands on lol. So you can see what sizes works best for you and what style you like.

I'd also add that you look into leg protection. TP Forcefield limb tubes are what I use. Protect the knees and shin. I went down on a low side the day after I ordered them from RevZilla. Of course they came in the next business day. Could have completely prevented this

Thanks all for your recommendations! I'm still currently looking for a jacket. I bought some nice riding boots and I must say it makes a big difference when riding, I felt like I had more control over the bike. Yesterday was a very successful learning day. Even though I didn't go over 15mph, BUT I had better balance and kept the bike straight. I was riding on the clutch, YAY go me!

See? It'll come to you in time.

You've got it, good job!

Ah, Jacksonville. I've been there a few times (I used to live in NW FL and also SW FL). I have a ton of friends from there.

Too bad you weren't a little farther along, you could have rode down to Daytona for the 200 last weekend.

I'm glad it's coming to you and I'm you've caught the riding bug.
