stator cover gasket

Does it need rtv?

yes if you have a aftermarket cover no if stock but it cant hurt!! i never put it on when i had stock cover but just got a new aftermarket cover and i put it on without the atv sealent and it leaked took it off and put it on and no more leak

rtv should be appliedto the wiring harness rubber plug then placed in the notch. Also 10mm on either side of the mating surface of the crank case before installing a new gasket.
