Charging Issues, Troubleshooting and Testing

I am having the same problem. When taking measurements the stator disconnected puts out 50 volts ac at 5000 rpm. When plugged in to the rectifier it is 8 volts ac. When I measure across the battery, the higher the rpm the lower the dc voltage. I replaced the rectifier first and had the same results. I replaced the stator with the same results. I ran every wire on the bike for continuity and to ground with no problems. I sanded all the grounds, and the rectifier plate on both sides. I have had zero signs of overheating on any of the wires or connectors. Thanks for the diagram. I kept my old rectifier and will check both the old and new one out. Any other ideas? I have had this problem since I bought this bike. It is a 94 CBR600F2. It is getting jealous while I ride my other motorcycles.

I checked my current and old rectifier and they are both bad. I can only hope something was wrong with my old stator. I had replaced my R/R first and then my stator. I have a new R/R on order. I ordered the 03 GSXR 1000 R/R. My thinking is the old stator killed the R/R....twice and the new stator will not kill the new R/R. All the wires check good. I ripped apart the wiring harness and could not find anything wrong. Thanks to all the people who have posted their experiences and fixes! I am really looking forward to riding more than 8 miles in one trip.
