Default Reserve tank.

Hey, simple question, but I can't tell which way is reserve on my bike, the fairings been totally painted over and stuff, So I have no idea which way is reserve. I ran out of gas today w/the switch pointing downward, cause I thought reserve was up... I guess I was wrong, or maybe sumthings wrong? Let me know which way is reserve! CYA

Maybe your fuel petcock needs rebuilt or did you let the bike try to "prime" the carbs after you ran it dry on the ON position?? maybe you put it on RES and just did not get enough fuel into the carbs to restart, try using the choke for a second or two too enrich the circuit
