Speedo error
Hi,
This one is driving me nuts... when the bike is moving, the odometer climbs as it should but the speedo doesn't move.
However, I disconnected the cable from the wheel portion and attached a drill, running the drill moves both the speedo and the odometer.
any ideas??
Thanks,
Mike

RE: Speedo error
Could be a bad wheel gear, the part the cable goes into down by the wheel. It easy, if you had your tires changed, for the shop to not put it back on correctly, or you. I've done it, I caught it before the road test, but its easy to do.
Our cables do break frquently enough to need some TLC and checking at regular intervals. If you can pull the cable out of the connector or if half falls out, get a new one. Also makes sure and lube it up good, disconnect the top by the speedo and pressure lube down the cable.
