:icon_cry: Troubles never Stop!!
After pushing my 600lb 1988 cbr 1000 for about an hour four blocks up a steep hill to my house, I feel like either complaining, dying of exhaustion or getting an answer so I will try for the latter.
A few days ago, I removed and cleaned the carbs, then afterwards it started to bog down when it was hot. I was told to sync the carbs and I did so using a twinmax, It just got worse. I decided to check the plugs and they were terribly fouled. I replaced them and it ran better than ever... For a few miles.
When I was riding I felt a little bit of gas on my right shin and then it died, couldn't even roll start it. So here I am, puzzled and tired as hell. I found where is was leaking from though. Here is a pic:
Thanks All!

Are the plugs fuel fouled or oil fouled? If fuel fouled suspect carbs flooding.
And, is that line a vent line or a fuel bypass back to the tank? I'm not familiar with the '88 and don't recall seeing anything like that on my '91. If it's a vent line that's dribbling it again sounds like the carbs are flooding.
Check the float height, make sure the float valves (also called needle valves) are seating properly.

Yeah, I think you guys are right, carbs flooding. I pulled off the spark plugs and it was soaking wet, then tried to start it and see if I got a spark and I did, but it shot a crap load of gas out, so maybe the float level is too high? I check it out.
On a side note, any of you know about cooper dirt bikes, my neighbor gave me one, but I don't know how much oil to put in the crankcase. Anyone know? Thanks

I pulled off the carbs, and the #4 cylinder intake was totally filled with gas, I disassembled the carbs and cleaned them out and made sure that the float valve needle was properly seated and put them back on, it start right up and ran for a few minutes, then it died. I tried to sync the carbs but it wouldn't stay going long enough for me to do so. You know what is going on? Thanks.
