Not, IMO. Plus it makes you that much harder to see at night.

I like the black on black but it will make it harder to be seen at night. Still like it though.

I just had mine repainted in an all pearl black and I think it looks awesome but I would agree it will make it harder to see at night. I haven't gotten any pics of it yet.

I can say that it is harder to be seen at night, especially, if you have all black gear too (like I do), but what I have just purchased is a reflective safety vest to put over top of my jacket and hopefully it can help with being seen other than my lights.

Here are some pics:

These are from my album. I am still repairing my bike so no riding for now. I do have other color gear (red/white/silver jacket, silver/black/white jacket and a new red/white helmet and will be ordering a silver/white helmet) and hope it will help with being seen.

I don't think that black is a bad color, but if you are going to keep your bike for the long run, then go for it, otherwise, if you may sell you bike some point in time, someone may get a red flag wondering why it was painted one solid color because no F4i had a solid color. I would rather have a split color, but it doesn't matter that much to me.

I was told that my bike was repainted because the original paint was faded. Don't know if it is true or not, but my bike could have went down before I owned it, and I think it did, but from the looks of it, there wasn't too much damage.

Ditto on night (and day) visibility. Black turns the bike into a dark, moving hole. (It sure looks good, though.)

I painted mine black and red for that reason. But, as someone said, the solution is a bright jacket or safety vest, preferably neon green. Might not look as cool, but green is better than dead.
