I've got the 01 929 that has PC3 installed and a 2Bros bolt on. I have the PC3 mapped to the exact mods I've got, but when I open the bike up say 6-8K on the RPM and then let off, it will backfire small amount. This will only happen when I really let off the throttle. Nothing major like huge backfiring, but more like I'm running rich?

I've leaned out the PC3 in all bands and don't get it as much, but still once in a while. Just wanted to know if anyone else has this issue, and how they corrected it?

I'm gonna get it dyno tuned eventually, but $$ is an issue in that area. Many other things I wnat, and it doesn't affect the bike at all. LOL

 

it is not uncommon for a bike to pop on decell expecially if it's coming down off high rpm's
every bike will do that and is nothing to be concerned about

 

I just put a pc on mine over the winter and it does the same thing. Kind of a trip the first time you hear it when you are not used to it but like rep said anything with a header pops a little in the tubes.

 

how many miles ? dirty plugs?

 

i believe poping decel is because of a slight lean condition. nothing to worry about
