F4i cylinder spacing..HELP
I am currently working on redesigning an intake system for a SAE formula racecar that will be using the F4i engine. As we currently dont have the engine yet, I was wondering if anyone has the cylinder head off of one of thiers that could tell me the dimension between the cylinders (cylinder wall to wall) as it is a necessary specification in the design. Our design will use an angular actuator to vary the intake plenum to maximize torque over a larger range of RPM values versus the current constant plenum and intake runner lengths being maximized for just one set value. Any help on where to find this data, or actual data would be extremely helpful. The year we are looking at is the 2006, but any year would be fine as I am sure the design stays pretty constant. Thanks
I've got an exhaust system off of the bike... I can take pretty much any measurement you want from that. Photos and what not. You would have to wait until tonight though...
The design is the same from 1999-2006 (last year the F4i was available around here)
Any luck with the CAD drawings?
I put some images I took today on atpic. If you need different angles I can give it a whirl. Sorry I can't find my caliper... :-/
