Should I trade up to the 100RR?
I have a black 05 CBR 600RR. Although, I love the black color. I have grown tired of trying to keep up the color. Black is a pain the rear to keep it looking nice. I have a few grand into the bike. Upgraded seats, slip on, CRG Levers, Proton lights, Chrome Chain guard, Integrated rear signal lights and a few other chrome pieces.
I am second on the list to purchase a 07 Repsol CBR 1000RR, but I am contemplating whether to move up. I don't ride very very hard, so I don't need more speed. I wouldn't trade up for power, but for the look and hopefully easier to keep up. I do go two up with the wife every now and then.
Should I keep my bike and contiue with upgrades? Chrome wheels, LED's etc. (I'll probably lose some money too) or
Should I start all over with a new 07 Repsol 100RR, even though I'm considered about the much higher HP? (I've been riding the 600 for about two years and riding motorcycles for about 5 years.)
Thanks for the advice.

keep what you have get rid of all the heavy chrome and make it a track bike
upgrade the suspension and remove all the unnecessary weight items
upgrade the wheels to like BSTs or some good aluminums
upgrade the tires to pilot powers
then get the 07 repsol and leave it stock

It sounds like u already got alot into your bike so id stick wit that. Just think, after u get the repsol u will wanna do a bunch of crap to that bike as well and then u will def lose some money
the worst mistake i ever made was getting rid of my fully paid for 600 and buying my 1000
now my 1000 has to pull double duty as a track and street bike
if i lose it on one
i have lost it on the other
i totally regret giving up a perfectly good track bike just to save a few K on my street bike

galvarado:
Keep the 600 and get it painted to the color you want. Heck, do a repsol job on it if that's what you really want. i guarantee you that you'll come out a few grands ahead when it's all over.

Keep your current bike. Drop the chrome and get some performance mods. It you don't like the black, well you should have thought about that before you purchased it. Don't waste money on a bike you're not going to use. Make your 600 bad ***.
