Just recieved a Pit Posse rear wheel strand and I really like the way it works. I have not had a stand before, so I can't compare it to others. But, it is solid, easy to lift the bike and solid when the bike is on the stand. I can so far say, that I would recommend it. I am using it on a CBR 600 F4.
