Cbr 125 rw9 fuel injected, issues mainly after 6k rpm
Morning all,
hoping someone can help me, I'm having issues with me cbr125 it seems to work ok up to 6k rpm then after that it hesitates and misfires or doesn't fire at all making me bounce around like a kangaroo,
so far done a full service, replaced spark plug, replaced cylinder (this was to try and remedy a bad compression issue)
the jumping issue started of with an almost constant lack of power but with the occasional random burst of power,
I don't think it's the fuel pump as i can hear it prime and heat it run when the engine is ruining,
I've since some research and it's pointing me towards the R/R Or stator,
hopefully this isn't the issue, anyone got any other ideas on what it could be and how to diagnose it?
thanks.

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm about to post a new question with a similar issue for my Daughter's 2008 CBR125R (Canada).
When it works, it works great. But after riding for awhile (20-30 minutes) it develops an issue where it won't exceed 6 or 7k RPM (I need to take it back out to get the exact RPM).
When it's happening it feels very ignition timing or electrical related, there are no hesitations or misfires, it just WON'T go above that RPM. If you pull over and wait 5 mins it will resume normal operations for a few mins and then it will come back. Next ride the first 20-30mins are fine and then repeat.
It seems like something spark plug, ignition coil, R/R or stator related, but I don't know if this issue is commonly known and I'm trying to avoid taking it to Honda at least initially for them to "poke around" when I can do the initial poking.

Hi, I actually did get to the bottom of this, for me it was the fuel injector kept getting blocked, I cleaned it out with carb cleaner and an injector test kit thing, then added an inline fuel filter to stop it getting clogged up again and it resolved the issue, I hope this helps

Thanks, I'll certainly start with a new spark plug and to clean the injector. Bike is a 2008 but only 4k on it but any improper storage could certainly leave some crud in the injector. It's just odd that it seems heat-based as it only happens after riding for awhile and then it's good again.
Your issue seemed to more be it ALWAYS had problems at the same RPMS from what I'm reading, but thanks for the response!
