F4i seat clip w/ bolts on L...vs...F4 seat clip w/ bolts on R. *YES* folks, there *IS* a difference in the two!!! I highly recommend getting this clip, or at least the two F4i bolts...they support the single rider's seat much better.

Separating out the rectifier wiring group from main harness by several inches & retaped. This isn't rocket science folks! ;) Then, reroute rectifier to L side to mount on F4i subframe.

Fuel Pump mounting "problem or challenge" to F4i subframe. Since F4i doesn't have this, you can go one of two routes, you can do what I did & simply ziptie it...or...go uber thorough & pay someone to weld up a bracket. Zipties work, FP is secure, & works fine. Problem solved.

More R side view of FP mounted, rear brake reservoir mounted, various electrical cables ziptied. Disclamer...those scratches on the subframe were there when I bought it. ;D

Getting closer to finishing the conversion. After routing main wiring harness & doing R side work, it was time to tackle what was left on L side...ECU & rectifier.

Routed the ECU to live on top of the battery. Scrap the battery cover, you don't need it. After this photo, I scrapped it. It limits space, & simply isn't necessary. Note - the F4 battery is too tall for it anyway & it won't close. Additionally, w/o the cover, you can run the negative battery terminal right over the top of the battery & connect it w/o having to do any drilling in the battery tray.

Another pic of how I rerouted the ECU & rectifier. I bolted the rectifier to the same spot as where the F4i rectifier mounts.

Another pic to show how I routed the wiring harness & mounted components. Getting close now!!! :D Only things left to do are reinstalling battery & connecting terminals, connecting tail lights & rear signals, & slipping on the F4i tail cowl & bolting it on.

Final battery tray interior configuration. Notice the battery cover is gone, neg battery terminal has plenty of length to connect right up, the ECU's new home on top of battery, rectifier rerouted to L side, & fuse boxes mounted nicely. Looks clean to me! :) I like it & hope you do too.

Viola!!! :D Completed F4 to F4i split seat subframe tail conversion. A couple of notes here... If you still have a factory exhaust, you will have to fab up a new bracket to mount to the F4i rear pegs. If you already have an aftermkt exhaust can, simply move your bracket back to mount. Ok, you're done...TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT & ENJOY!!! :D
