Hope your install goes better than mine. My Givi rack was sold as a bolt-on, but I had to add spacers and carve my freaking side-covers to get the thing mounted.
Should have been a 30min job turned into a 2 hour swear-fest. I can laugh now, ;-)

Hear ya , well having seen a few with "custom" brackets for extra stiffening etc , on
other peoples 1000F's I kinda pretty much know how I'm going to go about it ..... the
link above was more of an FYI for anyone looking to add one.

Have yet to see one setup where the cases , side or top , don't bounce around !

My objective (thankfully I'll have all winter to do it) is to try and stiffen the whole rig
up a good bit so the cases won't bounce around much.

Hear ya INDY ........bike work has been on hold while the boats get winterized and
other winter stuff (plows , snowblowers etc) get prepped

But hopefully the white stuff stays south again this winter


These Y155's mount kits are getting scarce !

Yes the GIVI Y155 fits the 87 & 88 except for the lower mounting hole down by the passenger foot peg. I drilled another hole in the bracket.

Sprock did you stiffen it up some. If so Could you post some pics up with how you did it?
