I am trying to help my brother in-law sell his 2002 CBR600 F4i which was last registered in Idaho in 2016. The registration is obviously expired and the paper copy is missing. He does have the title which is clear and the bike is here in California now. Can a buyer simply apply for title/register it here in CA? I noticed under the Out-of-state Registration rules in CA you need to provide the out of state registration as part of the application. Will that be a problem for the buyer, and if so what needs to be done to get it registered here?
