Pics of my very first track day last weekend in Hallett OK. I have another track day scheduled for next weekend. Pics of me and the other guys at the track - there were only about 20 of us at the track and that was split up into 2 groups, so there was plenty of space and plenty of track time.

I'm not very good on the track -- yet... but I'll get there. Some of these guys were awesome!

Loading the bike early Friday for the 6 hour drive down - we didn't leave until around 1pm because the wife had to work:

All in all, it was a great time. I don't think it could've been a better setting for my first full track day. The track was nowhere near crowded and I was with friends who were aware some of us had never really been on the track before. Couldn't have been a better situation.

Next week will be different. Going to the Track Orientation School -- no telling how many will be on the track at once -- I'm sure it will be much more crowded, but I think I'll be more comfortable and confident after getting a track day under my belt. [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

congrats! I keep putting off my track day because I am nervous that I will trash my bike. I signed up for Code's superbike school at Mid Ohio, but I got put on a waiting list.

I'm gonna head to the orientation school myself HART (hallett advanced rider training)i belive. I'm 45 min from Hallett. Let me know what you think if you go before I do. And if your there for todays session Good luck! Nice pics and nice bike. Glad you came home w/o rash!

 

I'm actually in St. Louis and my Track School will be at Gateway International. My wife won't be with me so I probably won't have many pics from the next one.

I want to get atleast one good year out of the bike B4 I trash it..
