I posted the pics because it's a response to the thread title.
I am improving my riding technique because everyone has to have a hobby, and hanging off, going fast is fun.

No...hanging off and tucking in...even at the beginning stages will help improve your speed as you progress.
That's why you do it.

you really gotta tuck in and hang off like a monkey to look cool in pictures...

I always thought racers hung off because they were going so fast that their weight was the last thing keeping them from running wide and
off the track.
Which pro racers sometimes have to do.
Track day guys do it for practice in case they ever race or go fast enough to need it.
Been to one track day...and will go again sometime this summer. Might post one pic in my avatar or signature but that's about it.

let's keep them pics going guys!!!
nice pix fellas!
BMG...i can't even understand what you're saying...
track day guys hang off because it's the proper technique not in case they need it or in case they race! hanging off is what you need to do to lower the bike's center of gravity, decrease lean angle and increase speed in the same turn...
mang woody...those fairings stick out far? i know SV's have super duper long sliders and i can barely see yours!
i've never seen a vfr at the track before! this pix with knee down is awesome!

yeah, that part of the bike is so freakin thin compared to the I4sbut with the radiator and fairing stay in the front the fairings still have to be a little wider to fit on the bike. Thats nothing, with the hotbodies fairings (made for a GSX-R) that came on it, the frame slider didn't stick out at all, in fact there was about a 1/4 of an inch left from the inside of the fairing to the tip of the frame slider

(When those pics of me were taken at my first track day, I did not know that, and rode with the street technique I have use for the past 14-15 years.)
What I meant to say, or what I mean to infer...ahh nevermind.
Yes, proper technique...keep up the good work...
